We are delighted to win in the category of “Supporting the Industry” at the prestigious Personal Injuries Awards 2022 which celebrate the achievements of companies and individuals working in the medico-legal field.
This award category is one of the most competitive, and by winning, it acknowledges the fantastic work our nationwide team of specialist art, drama and music therapists do in supporting injured clients as part of their rehabilitation. It also recognises our success in professionalising the Creative Arts Therapies (CATs) through collaborative working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, achieving a shift in attitude that means the CATs are routinely a key component in rehabilitation regimes.
Our growing reputation and respect in this field has meant our medico-legal practice has seen an incredible 100% increase in medicolegal turnover in the past 12 months, within an organisation that already handles over 700 cases every year.
We work with many of the UK’s leading case managers, deputies, insurers, and injury lawyers. They include Stewarts, Bush & Co, Stokes, Jaqueline Webb, Irwin Mitchell, Slater + Gordon, AXA, Aviva, and Allianz. We’re also in the 7th year of a partnership with HCA Healthcare UK [a leading healthcare provider in the UK] working out of clinics at Wellington and Portland Hospitals on a fulltime basis. We work with other leading rehabilitation providers, including STEPS Rehabilitation, Voyage, Voyage Care and Hobbs Neurological Rehabilitation. Our partnership with STEPS is currently in its fourth year based on a fulltime service provision.
Established in 2013, Chroma is now the largest national provider of CATS in the UK. We have a team of 120, including 35 employed staff (of which 15 are new in the past year) and a mixture of employed and associate therapists who between them provide national coverage. Over the course of the last 12 months, we have expanded our pool of case management and law firm referrers to nearly 100 organisations and delivered 30,000 hours of therapy.
As we head into our 10th anniversary year, we’re excited to see what 2023 has in store, and would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the years.
