Music Therapist, APCI & NMT Certified & Managing Director, Chroma
Daniel qualified as a music therapist in 2002. His work focuses on children and families, especially supporting attachment, bonding and resilience. Daniel has worked in prisons, mental health settings and in special and mainstream schools with children with a range of brain injuries and other conditions He certified in the APCI assessment in 2014, and as a Neurologic Music Therapist in 2017. He is also Managing Director of Chroma.
Andrew qualified as an accountant in 1995 following 5 years in the world of sports’ marketing. His financial experience has been gained in the commercial sector where he was FD for the UK’s largest independent floor-coverings buying group. He has also worked in schools and provided business development consultancy in the SME sector.
His role is to look after the numbers, ensure these are communicated to his fellow Directors to inform decision making and to maintain sufficient resources to enable Chroma to reach both its financial and non-financial goals. He is also a school governor, amateur thespian and keen supporter of Gloucester Rugby.
Dramatherapist & Clinical Director & NMT Quaified, Chroma
Jo is a dramatherapist who has specialised in working with children and young people who have experienced early trauma. He qualified in 2006 and has worked in mainstream primary schools and a residential therapeutic community. He is the Clinical Director at Chroma, supporting and overseeing therapy. He completed the Neurologic Music Therapy training in 2017.
Music Therapist, Referrals Manager & NMT Certified, Chroma
Kate qualified as a music therapist in 2003. Her work has focused on children with significant behavioural difficulties caused by trauma and attachment related issues. Kate has also worked extensively within the field of dementia and in special schools with PMLD, learning difficulty and visual impairment. Kate is also a Neurologic Music Therapist, certifying in 2017. Kate is Chroma’s Referrals Manager.
Operations Manager, Chroma
Liz has a diverse background in administration having worked in the service industry and education prior to joining Chroma. Liz oversees the administration at Chroma, from HR to contracts. She is a mother of two teenagers. Liz is Chroma’s Operations Manager.
Music Therapist, APCI & NMT Certified, Senior Therapist - Clinical, Chroma
Rachel is a senior music therapist specialising in psychodynamic thinking around attachment, trauma and wellbeing through the arts. Rachel’s work encompasses clinical work with children and families, neurological music therapy with adults as well as presenting and writing about music therapy. Rachel plays violin and piano, performing regularly. Rachel is also a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Chroma.
Music Therapist, APCI Certified, NMT Fellow, Senior Therapist- Neurorehab.
Jonathan qualified as a music therapist in 2008. In 2013, he was awarded a PhD for his research into music therapy with acquired brain injury. Since qualifying, his has worked with children and adults with acquired brain injury, children with special needs, adults with dementia, and families in a variety of settings. He became an NMT Fellow in 2017.
Music Therapist, NMT Certified & Senior Therapist - Referrals, Chroma
Bronwyn has a diverse and experienced clinical background as a music therapist. She trained in South Africa before moving to the UK to develop her clinical expertise. Bronwyn works alongside Kate and Seren in our referrals team. She talks with case managers, solicitors, schools and hospitals supporting them to access arts therapies for their patients and clients. Bronwyn also completed the Neurologic Music Therapy training in 2017.
Dramatherapist and Senior Therapist - Referrals
Seren qualified as a Dramatherapist in 2009. She worked in the NHS for ten years in adult mental health and adult learning disability services and has also worked as a Dramatherapist in nurseries and schools. She has experience of working alongside a multi disciplinary team offering psychotherapeutic and systemic thinking within teams which use various behavioural and psychological models . She also works as a lecturer on the Art Psychotherapy course at the University of South Wales. She qualified as a Clinical Supervisor in 2020 and offers supervision to nurses as well as arts therapists. As a member of The Golden Thread Playback Theatre Company, Seren performs nationally. She is particularly interested in therapeutic writing and facilitates workshops for a range of participants, utilising story, poetry, song lyrics and verse. Having practiced yoga for over 15 years she integrates yoga and mindfulness into her clinical and supervisory practice. Seren joined Chroma in 2019 as a Senior Therapist and works alongside Bronwyn and Kate on the Referrals Team.
Music Therapist, NMT & APCI Certified & Senior Therapist - Referrals
Sally qualified as a Music Therapist in 1996 and worked for 10 years for the NHS in a busy outpatient Learning Disability team. After taking a break to have children, Sally then formed her own freelance business, working across different sectors and with a diverse range of people. Sally trained to offer APCI in 2016 and also NMT in 2017. She joined the Chroma Referrals Team in September 2021. Sally also enjoys teaching the piano and voice and performs professionally as an accompanist. She sings with the Nottingham Chamber Singers and plays violin in her local intergenerational community orchestra. Sally loves a nice pub, a long walk (with her family and dog) and finding time to read novels!
Jenny worked for over 20 years in a major high street bank. Alongside this, for 11 years, did fostering through the local council, from respite care to short term and also helped move children on to an adoptive placement. Jenny is a mother to 3 children and works part time at Chroma in an administrative role.
